Yes, you can have your wine and still lose weight! As a vegetarian for many years, I was excited to read this witty but very informative book that seemed right up my alley. If you have been looking for an easy, very down-to-earth way to eat healthier and maybe lose some weight in the process, then this book is a must-read. Filled with THE yummiest, easiest recipes, 'WTF Am I Supposed to Eat?' offers a common-sense, practical approach to a more delicious and healthier way of life.

I hate to use the word "diet" but trust me, you will definitely lose weight by following even just a few of the fantastic tips in this book. I have followed a modified version of the food plans in this book for most of my adult life and have maintained the same weight for many years. You don't have to be vegan or vegetarian to read this book but if you have been thinking about it, this book will give you the background and the confidence boost to try.

I loved this book because not only does the author explain why certain foods are good for you, she gives you super-easy recipes that are quick and satisfying. I also love her philosophy that everything is okay in moderation. You love red wine? It's okay! You can still keep your wine but also eat healthy the rest of the time (although I think a glass of red wine is good for everyone!) I also appreciated the variety of foods and the philosophy that not every diet plan is perfect for everybody,

Find what's right for you and you will be more likely to stick with it, not as a "diet" but as a way of life. And you will feel better, too! I am looking forward to getting this book in paperback to give as gifts and for my own kitchen.

I loved C.J. from the moment I first read Affairytale, there was something about her personality on the pages that I was drawn too. When I realized she wrote a health book I was over the moon excited.

Growing up I think I've tried every diet...South Beach, Atkins, Makers, Smoothie and yes they all worked...for a time and then I was once again battling the same weight I had initially taken off and then some.

put such a big smile on my face because it's all about

restricting yourself. So many books I've read are all about what foods they can take away from me Or this rule that I must follow or else. All these rules rules rules drive me nuts and they drive me to eat more cause I'm so stressed about what they're telling me! But CJ understands. She gets it.

CJ won't put you on a diet. She doesn't tell you to stop eating fruits (which is beyond ridiculous). Actually she'll tell you (something along the lines of) you can eat whatever you want

. You must know that if you eat cookies and cakes all day that ass will be fat. Eat more greens and you'll be healthier. Can you still drink alcohol? Should you stop eating at 6pm? She challenges some of the facts that are imbedded in us from a young age, like what's really the most important meal of the day? And she makes you think. I seriously felt like I had a friend sitting me down and telling me how to take care of myself and to be a better me. Being healthy shouldn't be hard, it's actually doable, with a little effort anyone can be what they want to be.

I loved this book and the delicious, easy to make recipes are so good for getting anyone started in the right direction.

. Let's face it, these generalized diets don't work because everyone is a unique individual. You don't have to restrict yourself and workout like a maniac to be a healthier you. Give this book a try. If you've done it all and you don't know what else to do then look no further! It's refreshing, it's funny, it's relatable and it'll challenge your way of thinking.

It's taken me some time, but after doing my "Sher" research, I've figured out what works for me.

    For example:

    1. I can't eat too late at night.

    2. I don't eat red meat a few days a week (I give my intestines a much needed break)

    3. I eat more organically whole foods and good carbs (like sweet potatoes, etc)

    4. I eat as much fruits and vegetables I want, IDGAF about the sugars in a apple or peach! If God made it I'm eating it.

    5. I drink lots of water and wine at night (no sodas)

    6. I indulge every once in awhile. Whenever I crave a burger, cake or pasta I eat it, but that's once in a while. And I'm the best me I've ever been! I have curves that aren't going anywhere anytime soon but I love the way I look and I love how I feel!

I highly recommend this book for anyone that's on the hunt for a weight loss plan that will work for them. I plan on re-reading this book over and over again:)

, I was blown away by the openness and raw writing of CJ English. When I saw that she was releasing a new book on health and eating, I jumped at the chance to check it out. Will this book solve all of your problems and make you skinny by tomorrow? No. But it will inspire you to love yourself more, try something different, and equip you with the tools you need to put a plan in action! And most importantly it will remind you when you do fail, simply try again.

is divided into three parts. The what, the how, and then recipes to apply to your new eating plan. I found CJ's writing style to be down to earth, relatable, humorous, and quite informative. She addresses not only the physiological truths of eating healthy but the psychological challenges a person trying to loose weight and be healthy faces every single day. I found it informative and quite inspirational. I thoroughly enjoyed the read instead of feeling bored to tears with an abundance of scientific jargon (as I have experienced in other weight loss books I have read in the past). Instead, it felt like I was chatting with a good friend that has been there, is there, and will be there tomorrow. After reading this book, one thing is made abundantly clear, being healthy is a journey. It isn't always easy, but the result is more than worth it!

    Overall, I highly recommend

to anyone who wants to work on being healthy and happy. Am I certain I will be able to master all of the techniques and strategies shared in this book? Probably not! But at least I have the tools I need to try. And

when I fail, I know I will be able to try again. I am so glad I had the opportunity to read this book and I look forward to applying the nuggets of goodness delivered with love by the beautiful and inspirational C.J. English!

to life, diet and learning more about out cutting-edge vegetarian cocking then this book is for you. If you, like me, loathe being told what NOT to eat then this book is for you.

C.J. English*** with her background in nutrition and exercise brings over 20 years of experience to the table.

She will cut to the chase, chop up any confusion and deliver tons of fun “what the fuck” moments along the way.

Book is divided into three parts:

    ❶ How?

    ❷ What?

    ❸ Recipes!

Music to my ears as I have said for years it’s not only about calories and exercise.

C.J. will show you how you can get to eat what matters to you. You might even be surprised to read what C.J. thinks about exercise and how she maintained her weight without exercise for three long years before, during and after surgery.

    I predict a best-seller! 5 stars!

I am legit speechless. This books complete rocked my world. If you thought about changing your diet, buy this manifesto. CJ is not only painfully honest, but incredibly knowledgable. Over the last month I have read a few pages at a time whenever I felt like someone needed to kick me in the ass, while simultaneously giving me permission to put actual milk (or for you Americans-cream) in my coffee. And even more importantly, that it’s alright to have no willpower, because newsflash -- there is a way to work around it. Yes, I learned shit about eating, but more than that I fell in love with the authors approach and voice. Honestly, if you read one book about what to eat and how to loose weight in your life, make it this one. I do believe contrary to most other books in the genre, this author actually has our best interest at heart.

That’s all I have to say. Thank you, CJ.

I started reading this as I sat down to dinner with a frozen pizza and a glass of wine.

Up until last year when my life turned upside (again), I had been very conscious of my eating habits. I watched my portion control, stayed away from processed foods and gluten (for the most part) and ate quite a few veggies. Then life happened.

Up until last year when my life turned upside (again), I had been very conscious of my eating habits. I watched my portion control, stayed away from processed foods and gluten (for the most part) and ate quite a few veggies. Then life happened.

As well, After being a stay-at-home mom and working part-time for 17 years, I returned working full-time. Getting home at 6:30 pm every evening does not lend itself to healthy eating. UNLESS YOU PREPARE. And I have not been prepared.

Several things happened... I am always tired, I feel bloated and I've gained weight. I know I feel better when I eat "healthy" and I know what that looks like for me. But I always wondered if what made me feel better (and look better) was actually healthy or good for me.

Reading WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO EAT, provided me with validation, knowledge, and tools. I grew up thinking if I didn't clear my plate, if I didn't eat enough meat along with my veggies and a starch, I would get sick. Well, let me say, I am 5'0 and survived. But I have alway struggled with my weight. I am the picture of a yo-yo dieter (or weight gainer/loser). What I liked so much about this book, was that its focus isn't on LOSING weight. But on being HEALTHY. Sure, losing weight is mentioned, but it isn't the focus. Which for me is key, because when I decided to take control of my life last time, it was about being healthy and feeling good, which consequently caused the pounds to drop.

CJ English told me it's okay to only eat breakfast when I'M HUNGRY -- which for me is about 4 hours after I wake up. She explained that I don't need as much protein as I have been trained to believe, which is a relief because I enjoy just having veggies for a meal. I always had a rule that I didn't eat after 7pm. I heard somewhere (probably Oprah) that you shouldn't. Welp, guess what? CJ speaks on that too.

AND THE RECIPES! OMG, the smoothies are so freaking good! My boss just bought a ninja to keep in our kitchen for us. We have frozen fruit and some other items to use, too. When I made the recipe for the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Banana Smoothie, I had 3 grown women moaning. I am sure the salesmen wondered, WTF we were doing?

This book is hilarious, smart and talks TO you, not AT you. It helps you decide what is best for you and how to maintain balance in your life. I plan on gifting this book to each of the ladies in my office (most of whom are health conscious and exercise regularly). I can't wait to share recipes with them and wine. DON'T FORGET THE WINE!

I have tried countless diets in the past with decent success only to gain back the weight when I got too comfortable. English was offering ARCs for this book, I just had to raise my hand and wave it from side to side, shouting, "Me! Please pick me!"

I knew I would love reading this within the first page when she said the book was filled with graphic language, mature subject matter, and dry, sarcastic, WTF humor. I live for this type of sense of humor, since I too share the same way of thinking and writing. C.J. had me laughing, but more importantly, had me questioning what it is I want out of this vessel I call my body.

Since being diagnosed with thyroid cancer and having a full thyroidectomy, I have struggled with my weight. My new life consists of daily doses of thyroid hormones, trying not to have anxiety and panic attacks and desperately trying to keep my eyes open. I'm constantly tired, get frequent headaches, feel like a slug and overall, want to hibernate under the covers for the rest of my days. But, I have three kids and sporting events and a husband who thinks dinner needs to come in the way of a four course meal preferably every night. There's never a dull moment in my chaotic life, and although I wouldn't change a damn thing, there are days I'd like to invest in me time. And my me time means learning to cope with my "new self" and getting my health under control. WTF Am I Supposed To Eat is a great place to start. C.J. offers a common sense outlook on fueling the body and backs it up with respectable resources. The premise of this book is easy to follow and I think easy to administer into daily life. The recipes given at the end of the book sound delicious and I can't wait to try them.

I really found this book to not only be enjoyable to read but super informative. I am excited to have been given the opportunity to read this book in an exchange for a review. I'm looking forward to slowly starting to implement this lifestyle in hopes of easing the symptoms of my thyroid issues and in my quest to finding a healthier version of me.

Week 2 out of 6 of wearing a moon boot and I was terrified at how much weight I was going to gain whilst being immobile. I was thinking of how I was going to modify my diet to minimise the inevitable weight gain coming my way. Then the wonderful CJ English was offering ARC's, I submitted my request and was very fortunate to receive one.

Weight loss and nutrition are always hot topics and there is a new diet or miracle weight loss solution that we are being bombarded with on a daily basis - so what makes this book different. Well because it's not a diet or a fad, it's not a magic bullet - it's a way of life and the degree to which you apply it is how much sustained weight loss you will achieve.

WTF am I supposed to eat was a very inspirational and informative read for me. I loved the conversational tone and the simplicity in which the facts were presented. I have a greater understand of the humble calorie and how your body uses it depending on what type of calorie it is.

It brought about a lot of self awareness and I've discovered what I have been doing wrong all these years. Effectively self sabotaging without even realising I was doing it.

There are some great recipes in the book as well that are simple and easy to introduce into your meal plan rotation.

If you're looking for something completely different in amongst the plethora of diet and nutrition books you need to give this book a chance. You'll be very pleasantly surprised and I believe that there is something that will resonate with every reader.

Thank you Ms English and I wish you every success with this book because it is certainly well deserved.

It is enlightening and fun to read, easy to understand and tells you exactly what you need to know if your wanting to go along the vegetarian way of eating.

This is a plant based diet that makes you think

and if nothing else it sure has made me think about food in a different light. CJ definitely knows her stuff, she has researched and knows the information on what it is doing to your body and how that effects your thoughts, how active you are and why you get the aches and pains you do. But it also explains that it's your choice how you change the choices you put in your mouth.

Above all this is a book on healthy eating, on changing how you think about food, and how to implement it. Also that you SHOULD drink lots of wine (if you so please)

I enjoyed this is a lot of it though some parts not so much. That said that's probably me more so than what's said. I love exercise and I love food, and this isn't the book for exercise lovers. I will though definitely be changing my diet come January. I'll be eating more plants for sure and taking on board what CJ has said. And so I'll definitely be coming back to this and re-hashing things to get it right.

    * The juices and the fasting that's it's ok to do that at times but with clear guidance..

    * To eat breakfast when I'm ready... bonus (some mornings I just can't stomach it and that's ok as well) phew...

    * The recipes look delicious, I have yet to try them but they look and sound sooo yummy. So I'm going to go shopping asap to try some.

    * And lastly to NOT eat anything after 6! Yeh I knew this really but CJ explained it in depth and now I get it... bingo!!

So go ahead give it a shot... and start 2017 with a bang by giving this book a shot now.

    Enjoy Xo

I love to eat, I have been a slave to chocolate, and any form of sweets since I was a little girl. As an adult I've had to kill myself at the gym in order to maintain a healthy weight, and continue to still be able to eat the sweets I love so much. But in the back of my head I knew I was going about the nutrition part all wrong, and that I needed a better plan. Reading this book has literally blown my mind.

has given me the exact tools I needed.

First, let me tell you that I love C.J English's writing style. She is honest and straightforward , she doesn't try to impress the reader with fancy, and complicated nutritional terms, or tries to push her believes down to anyone's throat. You learn about her struggles and her vulnerabilities with food and exercise, as she shares not only her knowledge, but also her experience, and she does it in a fun, and easy to understand way.

Each chapter has the information and tools that will help YOU create a nutrition game plan, that will work for you specifically. Like the book says; forget about asking people what diet worked for them, what pills, or what foods they tried in order to loose weight. Everyone is different, we all have different lifestyles and food tastes, so we need to personalize our diet plans to our specific needs. The good news is, that it is easier than we think, and

is here to help in an effective way.

I will continue with my workout routines, but I am now armed with tricks and the knowledge that will help me eat in a much healthier way, without having to completely sacrifice eating sweets or drinking wine.

I highly recommend, I repeat... I highly recommend,

to read this book. Achieving a healthy weight is not as hard as we think. Buy and read this book, make a commitment with yourself, create a personalized game plan, be organized and plan your meals, because you know what? You will get a cheat day; one day out of the week where you can go ahead and eat that slice of chocolate cake, and still loose weight and be healthy.

Thank you so much to author C.J English for creating this book. I will buy it for my friends, and carry it in my purse as a nutritional, and inspirational food bible. And thanks for adding all the delicious recipes at the end of the book, I cant wait to try them.
